I want to tell a story about humidity as a source of life, deserving affirmation. It's an expression of longing for humid and fertile soil, which forms the foundation of life. These paintings become an alternative to the culture of drainage, excessive control over water and nature, and represent resistance to rigid cultural constraints regarding corporeality. It's an expression of hope for the return of humidity to our land and bodies. (...)

Humidity, in a cultural context, is often associated with the undesirable effects of weather conditions. It symbolizes disorder, nature's insubordination, and is perceived as something that needs to be controlled, dried up, and subjected to authority, as it eludes our influence in homes, meadows, fields, and habitats that evoke aversion, such as the dwellings of amphibians, reptiles, snails, and fungi. This seems paradoxical as we grapple with issues of drought, the loss of drinking water resources, and fires engulfing Europe. In Poland, hydrological drought leads to the gradual phenomenon of steppe formation. Along with this, biodiversity decreases. Over the past three centuries, most wetlands in Europe have been drained.
